Overview & Reviews
Although completely redesigned last year, the Mazda MX-5 Miata still sees a number of big changes for 2007. A retractable hardtop model joins the line, trim levels are shuffled and renamed and power output numbers change slightly due to the implementation of new SAE power-rating standards.
- Huge fun factor, precise steering and handling, low base price, economical to operate.
- Still snug for large adults, stability control only available on top trim level.

Never too late to Zoom Zoom - 2007 Mazda MX-5 Miata
By Hill Country Guy - September 21 - 4:36 amIts an awesome driving experience for this 67 year young kid in the Texas Hill Country and the ease it handles and hugs the road on the curves. Ive only had it for two weeks and its averaging right at 30 MPG. My neighbor told me that its a motorcyle on 4 wheels. The six speed auto tranny is very smooth and Im still learning the paddle shifting feature which is fun. I agree with others, that you do need to stop after a couple of hours and limber up. Mazda did a wonderful job on the exterior and interior design and the soft top is so easy to operate. I wish Id done this 10 years ago.

Why not - 2007 Mazda MX-5 Miata
By 2007 Mazda MX-5 Miat - June 28 - 5:23 pmWanted something stylish and fun. It is all that and then some. My husband and I run to see who will get to the Miata first. Style and the retractable top makes it own statement. Not used to so much fast response, takes a second then you think, why not, no one is around. Blast to drive, great jaw dropper on many faces when that top retracts. Looks good, drives great, just a great car.

Unbelievable - 2007 Mazda MX-5 Miata
By LIBERTINE - May 21 - 1:53 amThis is the kind of car that makes one glad to be alive! True to roadster heritage. I recommend getting a pair of good driving gloves to go along with this car.

MX-5 is a blast to drive! - 2007 Mazda MX-5 Miata
By Jack - May 18 - 3:23 amThe only thing I dont like about the car is the seats are not the most comfortable but the car is a blast to drive. I really wanted a car with a V-6 but the style and looks of the MX-5 won me over. I was very pleased with the cars performance and it has some get up and go for a 4 cylinder. I looked at other cars in its class but they did not have as much room and little to no trunk space. The MX-5 has a nice trunk and a storage area behind the seats that you can place items in. The cup holders on the doors makes it nice and allows you to shift the vehicle without worrying about hitting your drink. Im very pleased with my MX-5 and its affordable and offers more than others in its class.

2007 MX-5 with power hard top - 2007 Mazda MX-5 Miata
By chris - May 14 - 12:50 pmThe MX-5 with power hard top draws a lot of interest. The top works easily and I dont notice the extra weight. The trunk space isnt compromised either. With the top up, however, there is a huge blind spot on your left side so adjust the mirrors carefully. Im six foot three and I fit comfortably. The copper red mica is attractive without screaming "look at me". The engine is willing and scoots quickly. The transmission shifts lightly, but even with the 6 speed, it seems like it needs another gear when cruising on the freeway.

fun little green machine - 2007 Mazda MX-5 Miata
By GLS - April 25 - 11:00 amWe have owned sports cars over our 22 yrs of marriage and I can say this is the most FUN one. My wife wanted a fun car and I think we found the perfect car for her. Yes , the engine noise is kinda loud but its a good loud. Very small inside as in you "wear" the car. The trunk does its job other than the lack of a spare tire. The engine allows you to feel as if your driving a go cart all the time. balance and handling are great with only the mr2s we have owned being close. My wife comes home everyday with a big smile on her face even if she s had a bad day at work and I credit this little car I could have done this review in really just one word,FUN!

Rollin the Rockies - 2007 Mazda MX-5 Miata
By DOC - February 19 - 10:13 pmAlthough Ive only had my MX-5 for a few weeks, driving it is already one of my favorite pastimes. Its a hunny... without a doubt. The power hard lid is just plain sweet. Looks, handling, power, and curb appeal are outstanding. Cant wait for warmer weather and mountain roads.

Love My Miata - 2007 Mazda MX-5 Miata
By smittyad - October 10 - 12:03 pmI wanted a 2 seater but not the Miata. I went to go get the Sky, loved the exterior but hated the interior, same with the solstice. I test drove every other 2 seater less than 35,000 then I said to be fair I would test drive the Miata. I fell in love. My only regret is that I should have gotten the touring special edition. But when I purchase a new one I will get it.

Still Love This Thing! - 2007 Mazda MX-5 Miata
By christak - September 4 - 1:53 pmI originally posted here on 12/11/2006, three days after I picked up my MX-5. Well, here I am about 1 year later and I still love this car. I have nothing but great things to say -- still getting 30 mpg and have had no problems with the car. The PRHT is perfect; interior/exterior finish still looks great; no issues requiring any service or repair; extremely fun to drive with plenty of responsiveness; 6-speed automatic works great; still an amazing vehicle. I still suggest that you go get one!! ;-)

Great Car and lots of fun - 2007 Mazda MX-5 Miata
By keninaz - August 29 - 9:05 amI owned many of the British cars of the late 50s and 60s and in many ways this car reminds me of them. Putting the top up is a one hand operation but the improvement is that you dont need a snap on tonneau cover to make it look good when its down. I think for the money that the MX-5 roadster is one of the best buys out there.
